9 Unit Printer Stand Wall

Problem

A customer needed to fit nine industrial label printers into a tight layout. EMP’s standard printer stands couldn’t provide the needed capacity or accessibility for changing media and servicing each printer.

Solution

EMP designed a custom nine-printer stand, complete with sliding shelves and a compact three-by-three layout. After confirming pricing, EMP engineers produced CAD models, validated dimensions, and built a first-article unit for on-site testing before full production.

Story

A current customer was expanding their operations into a new facility with the intention of purchasing a bulk order of printer stands. EMP has been building label-printer stands for more than a decade, starting with simple desktop slides and gradually expanding to multi-level printer towers. So when this customer came back with a never before printer stand concept, EMP leaned into the challenge. The customer requested a printer stand with the capability of harboring nine printers, but still needed the functionality the standard printer stands provided. The engineering team reimagined the existing standard design, scaling it up into a heavy-duty, nearly six-foot-tall structure with fully extending shelves for easy access. After validating the concept through CAD drawings and real-world fit checks, EMP built and shipped the first article to the customer for approval before producing the remaining 30+ units. Yet again, we’re seeing another great example of EMP’s ability to engineer custom hardware, adapt proven designs, and support customers with tailored solutions—no matter how unique or space-restricted the requirement may be.
