Problem
A customer was having issues with their employees misplacing or losing their mobile devices throughout their manufacturing facility.
Solution
Issue the customer with over 90 units of TC8300’s to replace and upgrade their mobile fleet. Each mobile device will have at minimum an Android 10 operating system and Bluetooth. These specifications allow the uploading of the Zebra Device Tracker, enabling the customer to keep track of each device.
Story
Over the the last few years, a medical equipment manufacturer was having difficulty keeping track of their mobile devices in their facility. Some would go missing, others would be assigned to one employee and by the end of the day, in the hands of another. And when the Operational Manager would try to track down a device, neither employee knew who had it last. EMP gave them a list of mobile computers to choose from, additionally making sure the specifications had the hardware and software requirements necessary to utilize and upload Zebra Device Tracking software. After the customer chose the Zebra TC8300, EMP equipped each device with Zebra Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) batteries, allowing the locating of devices even after they’ve powered off due to low charge. The customer now has everything they need to track, monitor, and individually assign devices so they won’t have to purchase new ones anytime soon.
