We do not normally exhibit at the trade shows that serve our industry. Pack Expo, the Packaging Show in Chicago and Las Vegas. Modex is the warehouse show in Atlanta, ProMat is its sister show in Chicago. WERC is the Warehouse Education Research Council show. We go to these shows as an attendee from time to time, but exhibiting at them has never been worthwhile for us. But, if we have several customers in an industry and that industry has specific trade show that many of our customers attend, we will exhibit at those.
Add into that an industry that is helping the world by promoting reusable packaging, and we are really in. RIPA, the Reusable Industrial Packaging Association, has a show every year for its members. This year it was in Houston Texas, our sister company Enterprise Marking Products was exhibiting, so we went along for the ride.
There is a worldwide standard for labels in this industry called GHS. This stands for Globally Harmonized System, and many of the members of RIPA are large label users because of these requirements.
And where there are labels, there is a need for label printers, label applicators, barcode scanners, tracking software, serialization, all of the things that we help customers with every day. So, if by chance you attended the RIPA conference, we hope you stopped by to see us at your trade show.
