We admit it right away; this is more of a solution than a specific product. A solution that we have provided many times over the years for customers’ labeling requirements. You need to get labels onto your product with precision, repeatability, and speed. Hand applying labels is not working for you, you need a better way.
The solution is a tabletop one. An applicator or printer applicator that mounts to the top of a table instead of to a conveyor. Then a fixture to properly position your product, a way to trigger the automatic labeler such as a foot switch, and an able body to process the work.
One of the challenges is that automatic applicators tend to be big and bulky. They need to apply millions of labels a year, very quickly, and without mechanical breakdown. One of our partners, CAB produces smaller, better solutions for these semi-automatic applications.
Basically, it is one of their Squix desktop printers with a tamp assembly attached to the front. The advantages are that it is small and is capable of printing and applying very small labels. Since customers who need help precisely locating labels on a product tend to have issues with small labels.
We also carry semi-automatic bottle label applicators, or even hand fed applicators for flat products. These only apply pre-printed labels, but most of the time product labels are just that. The customer just needs a better way to get labels onto their products.
