Our support team is frequently helping our customers troubleshoot issues with BarTender formats and SQL Server. Nothing is broken, but we are either helping set up the label formats in the first place or helping with connection issues that have arisen.
Many times, the IT team on the customer side has used an Admin account to do the database connection. This can be problematic if anyone else needs to make changes to the setup. It is far better to use a Service Account or a SQL Account. If you lock down the SQL account to a specific user or admin, no one else can make changes to the database connection or search any history for troubleshooting purposes.
